Hi!
Welcome to my blog. One of the hardest questions I get asked is to describe what I do… By day I’m Production Manager for Cardiff based digital agency Sequence . I’m responsible for organising and managing Cardiff Web Scene. I run Ignite Cardiff and TEDxCardiff with Neil Cocker, I’m a Cardiff Ambassador and was featured as one of Wales Business Insider’s Rising Stars for 2011 . I’m happy to speak at events and have spoken at TEDxBristol and ITWales International Womens Day 2011 celebration as well as curating my own events.
I provide consultancy to and work on digital strategies with start-ups and small businesses. I specialise in Social Media and Community Engagement and also have a proven history of creating functional specifications for website development and am happy to work with both agencies and businesses.
Although I currently work at a digital agency I originally studied media and business before working at leading Cardiff graphic design house Peter Gill & Associates for eight years as Account Manager. Whilst there I was
responsible for working on and managing a wide variety of projects from DM, branding, exhibitions, PoS, corporate and award-winning promotional print through to on-line and above-the-line advertising. This was followed by three years as Account Manager at Cardiff and London based web development agency Box UK where I worked with FTSE100 companies as well as a number or public and private sector organisations. I was also responsible for being the only Welsh agency to secure a commission from the BBC during the 2008 Innovation labs.
I’m passionate about the online space and specialise in Social Media and Community Engagement. I also have an unhealthy love of print (I like to sniff brochures – it’s a paper/ ink thing!) and am addicted to running events! I care a lot about education and in particular, promotion careers in the web at school level. I’m involved with Young Rewired State and HackN0w – two initiatives targeted at coders aged 18 and under.
Collaboration, networking, events of any kind and generally doing really cool stuff with amazing people is something that I’m incredibly passionate about. If you’ve got an idea or a project that you’d like to chat about or if you’re interested in getting involved in Ignite or TED (we’re always looking for volunteers, speakers and sponsors) drop me a line at claire.scantlebury@gmail.com.
A couple of other little facts about me, although I work in Cardiff I live on Barry Island, yes that’s right, home of Gavin & Stacey, numerous fish & chip shops and the infamous log flume! I also like a bit of photographising now and again and I usually upload my pics to flickr.

im trying to get hold of claire, i tried her email address but i would not work, i was wondering if claire could do some flying pics for my website
